Tap/Life Lessons

…what to do when I’m lost.

I love to improvise my performances but sometimes due to losing my balance, missing a step, or not listening, I end up falling off of the rhythm while I dance. During these moments I often feel lost in the music with no idea where I need to go rhythmically.

The best way for me to get back on beat quickly is to look for the “one”; the one being the first count in each measure of music. If I can do this, I can orient myself quickly and get right back into the groove.

In life, whenever you feel that you are lost, or don’t know where to go, all you need to do is look for the One and you will be right back in the groove!
