Tap Dancer Dies at 75

Carl Wright passed away recently at the age of 75. He is most recognizable for playing the role of “Checker” Fred in Barbershop and Barbershop 2. He was also prominent in Soul Food, and Big Momma’s House.

He began his entertainment career at the age of 16 when he began touring as a tap dancer. According to Wikipedia he performed as “The Three-Leggers” with a one-legged partner. Later he worked as a standup comedian before switching to acting.
