Masters of Tap, Performances

On the weekend of Feb 8 thru the 10th the first “Women in Tap Conference” was held at UCLA in California. The event was organized by Lynn Dally and brought together about 5 generations of phenomenal female hoofers!

I also found a video about female tap dancers that, while not related to this event, shares some of their struggle.

Acia Gray

One of the participants, who was gracious enough to share her experience of the conference in my Tap Dance Podcast was Mrs. Acia Gray! You can play the interview below.

Acia Gray is a phenomenal dancer, author, and co-founder of Tapestry Dance Company in Austin, TX.

Be sure to check out her book, “The Souls of Your Feet – A Tap Dance Guide For Rhythm Explorers” by using the link below!
