Tap Video Clips

This video clip features Tap Dancer Roxanne Rout and Brazilian Drummer, Dioblo. The pairing of these two talented percussive artists makes for a really cool presentation. I believe that drum that Dioblo is sitting on and playing is called a Cajon. Ain’t it cool?!?

awesome, man! yeah, that’s a cajon. originally was a wood crate that the cuban dudes would sit on while waiting for whatever as they worked on the docks. they’d play them, ya know, just like makeshift drums, then they became legitimate instruments. they come in all sizes and i have seen very small hand held ones in cuba. this video was awesome, thanks! oh, make sure if you say “cajon” you say “cajon” not “cajone”. :~)

Thanks for the advice on how to say it Maria! I had a few creative ideas of my own.

Are Cajons hard to come by? I didn’t see any on the websites I checked.
