In this post, associate blogger Hillary-Marie Michael recommends a new book for tap dancers to check out!

Shoot Me While I’m Happy is written by Jane Goldberg, a tap dancing writer/story teller who approached tap with a political sense in hopes of renewing others’ interest in the art. This book “is not a history of tap dancing. It is one determined woman’s highly personal account of falling in love with and living the tap life”. The forward is written by Gregory Hines and for every story she tells, there’s a picture to match it.

Newly published, I was able to get a signed copy on the first day of the book’s release at Tap City!

Check out Ms. Goldberg’s web site. There you will find more information on her and the book, as well as other projects she is working on.
