Really, the “shocking” came from my surprise. While many people and legends are in awe of his talent, I hadn’t expected to find a quote like that coming from Fred Astaire. That’s like when Gregory Hines called Savion Glover the greatest tap dancer who ever lived!

That is neither shocking nor surprising. You can expect those kind of words from anyone including Astaire when the other person is MICHAEL JACKSON. I mean the guy’s talent doesn’t belong to this planet. This makes me remember a quote I read somewhere – ” When Michael sings, you hear angels singing and when he dances, you can see god dancing”. He is called the King of Pop, Rock and Soul for a reason!

Thanks for the comment Romeo. I think you’re correct in that the one person deserving of that accolade is MJ. It would be more surprising if he said that about almost anyone else!
