Tap Video Clips

Here is a really cool clip I found on YouTube featuring two guys I don’t know a whole lot about. Their names are Kendrick Jones & Joseph Wiggan. Kendrick Jones performed on “Showtime at the Apollo” some years ago and was very successful. I believe they are both students of the legendary Jimmy Slyde among others. Here is an article on Joseph Wiggan & his sister Josette Wiggan that I came across.

The song that they are dancing too is called “So What” and is available on Miles Davis’ groundbreaking “Kind of Blue

Please share anything that you may know or have heard about these marvelous dancers.

Joseph and Kendrick are two of my favorite hoofers, both with a great blend of skill and style, and so fun to watch- they love dancing, and it shows! They may be young, but you can’t really call them “up and coming” because they are here NOW. Joseph hosts a jam in NY when he is in town which i try to get to, and they really dance well together. They’ve just come back from Paris where they were dancing together on stage in a new show, and I expect big things from them, good guys!

Thanks for sharing. Where is the tap jam held? Also, do you know the name of the show they were in?

  3. Ray Wiggan Says:

Anyone who wants to know more about joseph wiggan can google him or look him up on youtube.com. My little brother Joseph has been hoofing since he was 9 years old. He studied under many greats such as the late Paul Kennedy and Arlene Kennedy. He is currently in Paris doing the Josephine Baker story show out there. So if you want to catch it hurry cause i think after august he will be back in the states.
