This is the first of a new series I am doing. Whenever I come across a tap dance video, recently added to any of the video sharing sites, I will post it with a New Tap Dance Video Alert!

This video is from a 1977 Laurence Welk Show episode. It features the vocals of Tanya Falan and the tap dancing of Arthur Duncan (at about 1:10). Arthur Duncan recently costarred in Tap Heat, a 14-minute short film showcasing tap. That film also features the work of Jason Samuels-Smith & Chloe Arnold, two truly phenomenal tap dancers. The first time I saw Arthur Duncan perform was in the famous “Challenge” scene from the movie Tap. He was the first Hoofer to take to the floor!
