This clip features Tristan Bruns from Chicago, Illinois. He has been tap dancing for 13 years and really does a fine job of performing in this clip from the Lakeview Festival. He currently dances with Lane Alexander’s BAM! which is the Chicago Human Rhythm Project’s performing ensemble.
I asked Tristan what he loves about tap and he replied, “I tap because I feel good doing it and have a tremendous respect for the history behind the art form.”
He is currently in the process of developing his own play, featuring lots of tap dancing, that will debut next year.
