Blogger and journalist Mike Fletcher recently posted this fascinating insiders view of the preparation for a Tap Dogs performance. It’s an easy read that anyone who has ever had to pull a production together quickly will appreciate.
If you have never had the pleasure of seeing “Tap Dogs” perform, they have a DVD of the show. (Click Below for details!)

Hey Terence — I’d really enjoy reading this, loved the show when they appeared here in Portland. Can you update and include the link? A Google search did not turn up anything.
Than ks,
Mike

Hey Tapman, I like your page…I noticed you mentioned Tap Dogs….I am an 8 year Veteran of the show. I started with Tap Dogs in 1997 at the Union Square theatre in NYC and then toured North American…I worked with Dein, and Nigel (director) and all the original ozzie Dogs….
I currently live in San Jose, CA – Teacher Master Classes at conventions and started a few web/dance companies…..dance4teachers.com dance4students.com, just4tap.com, and The biggest success and my pride and joy – http://www.danceregister.com
Danceregister is a gated social networking community for Dance – Like facebook & myspace but with a serious focus on member safety…. It would be a good idea to create your own profile on Danceregister. We currently have over 660 members in 13 months with NO advertising…Oh and the site is free – This isn’t a sales pitch…
Anyway, It’s sweet you wrote about the Dogs – I don’t think Dein gets enough credit for his major contribution to what I call the evolution of tap dace. Hope to see you on Danceregister.
