Tappy 2009!

Wishing you and yours a safe, happy and healthy new year.

Have you put any thought into the vow you want to make for this new year? Still deciding on the project you want to commit to, or the habit you are interested in reforming?

Last year, for the start of 2008, my New Year’s resolution was to put on my shoes every day. Whether it was during class or working on some exercises at home… I stuck to it! Even if I was short on time, I would put them on and run some flaps and do a couple shuffles. It was the greatest resolution that I could have ever made!

Here are some suggestions for tap dancers of all levels:

1.) Put your shoes on every day

2.) Practice at home three times a week

3.) Practice your improv twice a week

4.) Choreograph one new dance every month

5.) Master a new step every week

6.) Watch a new tap dance video every week

7.) Study a new tap dancer every month

Hope these inspire you! Please feel free to let us know what tap dance resolution you pick!
