In exploring the Internet I came across a few posts that I am compelled to share with you here.
- Amanda at “My So Called Random Life” shares her story about convincing the men in her life that tap dancing is an appropriate past time for little boys. It’s entitled “Tap Dancing is for Boys”
- Ian over at CollisionWorks compiled a nice Eleanor Powell resource in his online journal. It includes several video clips as well as other information. I wish it were easier to find video footage of great female tap dancers as they have made great contributions to tap’s evolution. If you come across any clips, please let me know. I would love to share them here! In the meantime, I am still looking.
- Bill over at “So Quoted” shared an October 2, 1978 review of Eubie! originally published in Time Magazine. It briefly mentions the Hines Brothers’ performance in the show and includes commentary on the development of all-Black musicals. It’s an interesting historical resource.
